International Trade Fair (ZITF) held in Ndola, Zambia.

Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Introduces Diaspora Banking

The Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Bank Group, which is one of the East Africa's largest banking/financial service organisations and one of the industry's most valuable brand, has introduced the KCB Diaspora Banking. The service which was launched in 2012 in Kenya and in its subsidiaries in East Africa will now be available to interested Kenyan nationals living abroad. The Bank offers financial and investment advice to Kenyans living abroad through its dedicated Diaspora Banking team. products range from specialised mortgages, accounts,Treasury bills/bonds,shares,Fixed Deposits, and an upgraded internet and mobile banking services.

The Bank has 230 outlets, a regional network of ATMs of 940 units while partnering with 7,000 agents across East Africa, with listings on the Nairobi,Dar es Salaam stock exchange, Uganda securities Exchange and Rwanda OTC market,shares in KCB are held by over 168,008 shareholders. KCB Bank Group provides comprehensive range of financial services to over 2 Million customers in two customer groups,retail and corporate.

Some of its customised products include:

  1. Mortgages - it has made it easy for Kenyans to invest in the vibrant property market by giving an offer on its mortgages interest rates at 14.5% for Kshs. and 9% for US dollar mortgages up to 30th June,2014. this applies to residential properties only.
  2. Civil servants housing scheme of up to five million at an interest of only 5% p.a.
  3. unsecured Check off Loans for all civil servants up to 4M.
